The Sun Gods
Auckland three-piece The Sun Gods combine the tight, hard-hitting rhythm of Jaime Porteous, Phil Pou's multi-string wizardry, and Konrad Kurta’s anvil-heavy guitar tones and vocals ranging from incisive staccato to broad, soaring melodies.
Combining punk energy with metal heaviness, their unique sound and original lyrics are immediate and distinct.
Their first commercial release 'The Light of Day EP' garnered critical acclaim, and singles 'Fall in Line' and 'Oh Mary Mary' marked the band as one to watch on the live scene.
With new single 'Cocaine Eyes' primed to take over the airwaves and a more tracks in the pipeline, The Sun Gods are set to ignite with a sound that’s both familiar and utterly their own.
